Slow Exercise

"Burn fat, not time."

The Studio 30 Program

Slow motion training is a specific method of strength training using extremely slow movement. In this program the lifting of the weight is executed in 10 seconds then the lowering of the weight is executed in another ten seconds. The deep intense stimulation to the muscles speeds metabolism and increases lean muscle mass.

1 to 1 Strength Training

The slow motion method is actually nothing new; it simply takes advantage of one component of weight training, that is, the "time under tension" for the muscle being worked. The longer time a particular muscle group is under tension (in this case 10 seconds lifting, 10 seconds lowering)  the more chance that activity is happening within the muscle. A slow motion set consists of continual repetitons to complete fatigue. The idea is to work the muscle until it can no longer move the weight. We recommend as many as  3 to 7 days of rest to allow the muscles to recover and grow. You need only spend 30 minutes or less once or twice a week to get the most effective results.
